New work finally done after suffering from a "writer's" block that took me several weeks in the making. Sharing with you the last few bars of "A Little While" text by Sara Teasdale, a 2020 commission by the University of Louisville Cardinal Singers, Dr. Kent Hatteberg, conductor.
A song that talks about how fleeting life is. A realisation to cherish moments, appreciate simple things in life and to live it to the fullest. Teasdale's evocative text resounded with me and I believe that the last resolve of the piece is I, or anyone would someday, hope for.
