COURSE OFFERINGS

1. CLASS - 4 SATURDAYS

Tentative Schedule - August 27 - September 3, 10, & 17

ca. 10:30 am - 12:00 noon, PH Time

  • A 4-Saturday intensive course designed to help you start writing your music in the comfort of your home.

  • Learn practical elements, tips and techniques to help start your choral writing journey.

  • Exercises, assignments, and listening.

  • Limited slots = personalized approach and flexible learning schedule.

2. PRIVATE - 4 SESSIONS
Sessions must be done within 5-6 weeks.

Choose your own schedule depending on your availability.

Requirements:

- Sample Arrangements / Works

- Passionate and eager to learn

- Know the basics of theory and choral arranging

- Any notation software literate (sibelius, finale, etc.)

- Has arranged at least a 3++ part harmony.

Avail 10% early bird discount by paying a non-refundable

reservation fee of PHP1,000/ USD 20 by August 13.

ABOUT THE COMPOSER

Ily is one of the sought-after composers in the Philippines and in the international choral scene today. His works are being performed in prestigious choral competitions and festivals all over the world and have been recorded by some of the world’s best choirs like the Philippine Madrigal Singers, UP Singing Ambassadors (Philippines), Entrevoces, Schola Cantorum Coralina (Cuba) Stockholms Musikgymasium Kammerkör (Sweden), World Youth Choir, Iowa State Singers, University of Louisville Cardinal Singers, Dallas Chamber Choir (USA), and Grammy award winning groups like the King’s Singers & the Swingles, to name a few.

 

A 2017 Polyphonos Composition Competition Awardee (Seattle, USA), and a finalist at the First Jean Sibelius Composition Competition (Hämeenlinna, Finland 2014).An alumnus, resident arranger and composer for the world renowned Philippine Madrigal Singers, Male Ensemble Philippines and the Manila Chamber Singers. Founder and the artistic director of SONOS | Voices of Hope In pursuit of choral excellence, his works continue to reflect and set an exciting new set of standards that elevate the musical artistry and creativity of today's dynamic choral industry.

A group of amazing and dedicated choristers from all over Metro Manila and nearby provinces to give life to your new works.

The culminating activity for OPUS sessions where your works will be performed and given constructive feed backs from the singers themselves.

Due to the pandemic, OPUS LAB CHOIR sessions are suspended until further notice. Stay tuned for the next OPUS LAB CHOIR call for singers.
